A Lonely Heart
Cupid has a lot of lonely hearts to deal with on a daily basis, many of which are simply missing each other due to circumstances of life, be it thanks to work or where they’ve moved from or to. In truth, this is probably what makes love such a powerful and important part of our lives, that it can be lost just as easily as it’s found, and that it’s all too easy to miss out entirely.
You may not have to deal with the workload like Cupid does, but you’re here to pick up the slack and do the easy parts while he flies off and does the rest. You get to play around with a rose covered grid, bouquets lining either side of the matrix, with pink fluffy clouds taking you away to the ninth cloud in the sky for all the newly found couples to enjoy.
There’s no escaping the fact that this is a sickly sweet set of graphics that uses the perfume of romance to intoxicate you from beginning to end; everywhere you turn there’ll be some icon of love. If The Love Machine doesn’t have your heart all a flutter, it’s time to end the relationship before anyone gets hurt.
Playing Cupid
Cupid is the mini game bonus icon, his blond curls and focused aim a clue to what you’re about to endure as part of this special feature. Upon your discovery of three or more tiles, you’ll have to use your mouse to hold down and then fire arrows at floating balloons – this is explained prior to the level starting, but it still didn’t prepare us.
By the time we’d managed to get the pressure just right and release the arrow, the round was over and we had to deal with the effects of a poor matchmaking rank. If the world of romance was left to us, the human race would die out.
Up until this very moment we had thought Cupid’s job a doddle, but now we’re glad that we have a very different career path to his.
Scattered Rose Petals
Including a bonus round is more than enough to please users, especially when the quality is as high as this, but The Art of Games has decided to spoil its players further by including a scatter and free spins symbol.
The scatter can activate with or without the free spins, and will apply a random multiplier to your win, although we’re not certain what the capping off point of this is, we experienced several lots of x4 and x5. Moving onto the free spins, they’re just as generous due to their retrigger feature, but with a multiplier slapped on top they’re downright charitable: we got a €300 plus win from one set of spins!

We can’t move upon those reels without landing a win of some kind, even when playing with the lowest bet of 30 credits (when using all paylines).
We’ve ended up lovesick, but in the best of ways, missing our beloved game and counting down the hours until it’s back in our arms, or in this case, hands.
