The Money Game Slots

Money makes the reels go round on this simple slot machine by supplier of online casinos Novomatic. This 5-reel and 9-payline game has a no frills aesthetic, but it might just deliver a thrill or two if you catch its jackpot win of 900,000 credits. The game also hosts a wild symbol and a scatter symbol which serves up free spins with a x3 multiplier, giving spinners every chance of lining their pockets with some nice dosh. What's more, a 50/50 gamble game is available if you ever want to raise the stakes to the next level.

Money, Money, Money

As you can probably deduce from the title, The Money Game has a very straightforward theme. Money is the dish of the day and this slot machine has the potential to dish out some serious moolah. The whole game screen is green in colour and a variety of game symbols remind you of what you are playing for by presenting cash in all sorts of forms and guises. There are wads, bags, sacks and wallets full of the green stuff – just to help you keep your eyes on the prize!

In truth, this slot machine is not going to completely blow your visual senses away. The general gist of the graphics is quite rudimentary in simple two-dimensional form and there isn't much in the way of 3D slot animations. However, the moustachioed businessman will give you a little wink whenever he makes a winning sequence.

This game is obviously designed to target punters who don't want to skirt around the reason why they are spinning this slot machine. They know that they are playing with money in an attempt to win money, and they don't need any distracting action or spectacular side shows to conceal that fact.

Let's Talk Business

So, without further ado, let's talk business. Because you must be eager to know how much money this game will pay out? This slot machine asks players to place their bets using a couple of variants – the amount of pay lines that are active and the size of the bets that are placed on each active payline. Players can opt to have either 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 paylines in play and the available bet sizes come in the following values: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 100. Basically, you just have to choose one value from each variable and multiply them together to get your total bet. Therefore, the minimum stake possible is a penny slot value 1 credit and the total potential stake is 900.

Wins are calculated by multiplying the bets that are placed on the line whenever matching symbols combine on the active paylines, starting from the leftmost reel and going right. So, if you manage to line up 5 moustachioed businessmen, you will multiply the line bet by 9,000x – which is the most valuable of all possible combinations in normal play. If you go further down in value you will find quite a steep decline to the bag of cash and the sack of cash which both reward a 750x multiplier. The wad of bills will multiply by 400x while both the wallet of cash and the 10c coin will reward 250x. You'll also notice that there are some generic card symbols (9, 10, J, Q, K and A); these are the game's least lucrative icons but they will still keep your balance topped up nicely.

As well as being the most profitable symbol, the winking businessman is the game's wild card. As such, he will sit in for other game symbols to make sinning sequences. Whenever he does this, he will show his worth by doubling the win that is normally associated to the replaced symbol.

Nothing Comes For Free, Except Spins

The wild symbol won't substitute for the dollar sign, however. That is because this acts as the scatter symbol, thus it doesn't have to appear on paylines, or even on adjacent reels in order to pay out. In fact, if you find 5 of these scatters anywhere on the game screen, then you will win 4,500x your line bet.

That's not all, because 3 or more scatter symbols will also equate to free spins – 15 to be precise. These free spins will use the same bet amount and number of pay lines that were used in the triggering spin but all wins will be multiplied by 3x.

No Frills, Just Dollar Bills

The Money Game does exactly what it says on the tin: it gives punters the chance to win some money by parting way with some of their own money. No beating around the bush. No unnecessary frills. Just good old gambling. Whether players actually come away from the game with more money than they put in, is completely down to luck. But that 900,000 jackpot does look awfully tempting when playing at a real money casino...
