Winter temperatures can make the season challenging to get through but if you take a moment to look around, you’ll discover a world filled with wonder. Between the fern-frosted windows, snow-coated rooftops, and ice-covered waters, our surroundings undergo a magical transformation.?

AI has picked out the most iconic scenes to include in its designs

In honour of this, VegasSlotsOnline asked AI to craft the world’s favourite cities into snow globes. These ornamental pieces only have a limited amount of space but AI has picked out the most iconic scenes to include in its designs.?

From London to New York, Las Vegas to Seoul, will you know which globe depicts which city, or do you think AI still has a long way to go? Here are the world’s favourite cities reimagined into snow globes.???

London

At first glance, you might mistake this scene for the world’s favourite fantasy castle, Hogwarts. The pointed arches, turrets, and ornate details, all draped in snow, are reminiscent of the film scenes. Whether this was intentional or not, AI has captured the enchanting atmosphere that hangs in the city’s air.

The snow globe holds many of the capital’s historic buildings, including Westminster, Big Ben, and the Tower of London. At the back, you can also catch a glimpse of the St. Paul’s Cathedral dome. With snowflakes floating above the London rooftops, AI gives the city a truly dreamy look.?

Paris

While the London buildings are huddled together in AI’s reimagining of the city, Paris’ globe sees the capital’s Haussmann buildings carefully dotted around. This is a clever ode to the symmetry and function of the city’s architectural design.

The Eiffel Tower stands tall and magnificent, unaccompanied by any of the other breathtaking scenes, like Montmartre or Notre Dame. Following Coco Chanel’s enduring mantra, AI has used simplicity to evoke Paris’ elegance and grandeur. Additionally, everything you see is tinged with gold, a nod to the luxury and opulence often associated with the French capital.

New York

There isn’t a city in the world that does Christmas like New York. It’s not just the 80-foot Christmas tree or the abundance of Christmas lights, residents of the city are blessed with lots of snow during the cold season. AI has designed a charming picture of a winter in New York. The snow-capped buildings and candy-floss trees help to immerse you in a Manhattan winter.

The skyscrapers behind are a mix of gold and metal blue, reflective of the city’s unforgettable skyline. Some of the most notable buildings that AI has included are the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, the CitySpire Center, and 432 Park Avenue. It also wouldn’t be complete without a yellow cab at the bottom of it all.

Las Vegas?

Las Vegas in the Mojave Desert of the US state of Nevada is a popular tourist destination known for its lively nightlife, with casinos and other entertainment options open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In addition to the large hotels, casinos and resorts, the famous Las Vegas Strip is home to many attractions, such as M&M’s World, Adventuredome and the Fashion Show Mall.?

The bustling metropolis, renowned for its dazzling lights and vibrant energy, is now encapsulated within the confines of a miniature winter wonderland thanks to AI. AI’s recreation of Las Vegas as a snow globe includes what looks like one of the most famous hotels: the Bellagio. The Bellagio is an Italian-themed luxury mega-resort and casino located where the Dunes Hotel and Casino originally sat on 3600 S Las Vegas Blvd on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise. In the back of the snow globe, you can also see the Las Vegas skyline with some of its impressive skyscrapers and modern buildings.

Dubai

The Dubai snow globe takes you into a world of pure science fiction. The scene’s futuristic skyscrapers resemble Blade Runner’s LA or Star Wars’ Coruscant. Hats off to Dubai for its breathtaking infrastructure. AI must have gone to a lot of trouble fitting the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, into its snow globe.

This landscape doesn’t offer as many snowy scenes as the other cities, perhaps due to Dubai’s desert environment. While it probably wouldn’t make sense to cover Dubai’s sands in snow, AI has done a wonderful job of creating a winter wonderland, courtesy of the golden hues from the city’s many lights.

San Francisco

AI’s reimagining of San Francisco is a scene to behold. Light and shadow dance along the Golden Gate Bridge, giving the landmark a spectacular appearance. It looms over the forest of snow-covered pine trees and leads directly into the city’s financial district.

AI has painted a warm and cosy atmosphere, reflecting the city’s welcoming and inclusive environment. It’s the kind of scene you’d want to keep by your fireplace. The snow globe’s background is populated with buildings, dotted with golden lights. It’s a peaceful scene and the perfect way to display a winter in San Francisco.

Amsterdam

When it comes to Amsterdam, AI has brought together seven canal houses in a snow globe. It feels cosy more than it does crowded and the lighting used gives the scene a warm atmosphere. While Amsterdam’s iconic canals and bicycles don’t feature in AI’s design, you’ll still find plenty of elements that capture the city’s essence.

If you look in the bottom left-hand corner, you’ll spot the city’s tulips rising through the snow. To the right, a cafe or storefront looks as if it has closed up for the night. Along with all the city’s qualities, tall pine trees loom over the houses, providing the winter feel that you would expect from a snow globe.

Seoul

The AI-generated snow globe design for Seoul is the work of dreams. The tool has turned the city’s polluted air into wisps of clouds. They blend in well with the balls of snow drifting from the sky above. It’s an unexpected winter landscape.

AI has made efforts to recreate Seoul’s combination of tradition and modernity. At the top, you’ll find the capital’s futuristic architecture and tall skyscrapers emerge over the ancient palaces and temples found closer to the ground.

Rome

AI knew exactly what it wanted to showcase for Rome and placed the city’s historic Colosseum centre stage. It’s an interesting choice given the ruin-aesthetic of the building. However, AI decided that leaving out the Eternal City’s other majestic buildings worked better.

The scene is charming, as the world-renowned amphitheatre is lit up from below. Snow-topped conifers have been placed in and around the Colosseum, giving the two-thousand-year-old ruins an air of subtle festivity. Silver snowflakes have been painted on the glass encasing, making this particular globe stand out from the rest.

Prague

Prague Castle is one of the largest in the world, binding the St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, and the Golden Lane, to form an impressive complex. You can just imagine the city’s Old Town Square just behind the Castle walls.

AI has done a wonderful job of capturing the city’s mix of architectural styles, including the Gothic and the Baroque. While the cobblestone streets and graceful river didn’t make the cut, you will still find the city’s fairytale allure in its towers, spires, and colourful buildings.?

Madrid

AI’s reimagining of Madrid in a snow globe is simply majestic, with the city’s Royal Palace taking up much of the space. A forest of conifers, firs, and pines surrounds the noble building, with their snow-covered branches giving you a taste of the city’s winter.

AI has also placed Madrid’s Teatro Real (Opera House) in the front of the scene. While you can’t see the buildings behind the palace, their lights are reflected in the globe’s glass wall, giving the scene a dramatic and magical look. AI has effectively seized the city’s historic charm and regal presence.

Berlin

A copy of the Berliner Schloss (Berlin Palace) stands boldly at the centre of this globe, just like it does in the heart of Berlin. It’s difficult to identify as AI has infused the building with qualities of the Reichstag building and the Berlin Cathedral.

The tool has also deliberately chosen to exclude the contemporary architecture and street art the city is known for. Instead, the focus is placed on the historical elements of the German capital, highlighting Berlin’s rich and storied history. While they don’t feature, you could almost imagine the Brandenburg Gate and Triumphal Arch gracing this depiction.

Los Angeles

The Sunset Boulevard Cinerama Dome sits at the bottom of this display, showcasing the influence of the film industry in this area. However, that’s the only piece of Hollywood that AI included in the LA snow globe. In the background, the skyscrapers are surrounded by the urban jungle of Downtown LA, with the 777 Tower and the AON Centre rising above it all.

While the globe’s bottom is packed with snow, you won’t find any balls or flakes floating around. Instead, AI has adorned the globe’s skies with tinsel glitter. It’s not a typical choice for snow globes but it works perfectly with the showbiz personality that everyone loves the city for.
